What is an Escape Room?

An escape room is an indoor game where couples or small groups work together to discover clues, solve puzzles, complete a mission and escape the room within 60 minutes.

Where are you located? Where can I park?

Suite 4, First Floor, 2 Castlereagh St, Penrith

There is parking in the surrounding streets (check signs for time limits) and in the public carpark in Masters Place (2 hour parking limit – 8.30-6pm Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 4.30pm Sat)

What ages? Can children take part?

The puzzles and clues are targeted to adults, however children 8+ can also enjoy the game with adult supervision. Narrow Escape rooms is an excellent family activity.

Parents and/or guardians must sign a waiver on behalf of any child under the age of 18, allowing them to participate in the sessions.

Booking

How do I book?

Bookings can be made online here where you can select your desired day and time and pay online.

Unfortunately, we don’t take phone booking as a deposit is required.

What time should I arrive for my booking?

Please arrive 10-15mins prior to your appointment time for a briefing and to ensure everyone is ready for an adventure.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, this may affect the length of your game as we may have a group booked in the room after you.

A booking becomes a no-show and entry will be declined if the team is 30 minutes or more late. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking is not changeable.

Do you have wheelchair accessibility?

Unfortunately, the business is on the first floor without wheelchair access

How many people can I have in my group?

Groups can range from 2 to 6 people, so grab your favourite squeeze or a bunch of mates and Book Now

What is your refund policy?

Narrow Escape Rooms does not accept cancellations or provide refunds once the booking is confirmed, however teams can reschedule their booking time if more than 24 hours’ notice is provided. A confirmation email or text message will be sent, outlining the details of the new booking. The original booking will not be rescheduled until a new time has been confirmed by Narrow Escape Rooms.

On The Day

What if we are running late?

If you are more than 10 minutes late, this may affect the length of your game as we may have a group booked in the room after you.

Where can I put my valuables?

Lockers are provided for your use while you are participating in your game. We ask that you secure your phones as they can distract from the game, may provide an unfair advantage and we like to keep the mystery of the room to those who have yet to play.

Will there be anyone else in the room with us?

No, the only people in the room will be the people you bring with you.

If it gets too much for me, can I get out of the room? Am I really locked in?

While the experience states you are “locked in”, there is an emergency button that you can use to exit the room at any time. This is for your comfort and safety, and will not count as escaping the room. If you are simply stuck on a puzzle, our rooms are monitored by camera and we can assist with providing you with a clue(s)

What if I don’t know what to do?

Our rooms are monitored by cameras, you can ask for a clue at any stage during the game. If we see you are stuck, we may offer to give you a clue.

Do I have to be smart to get out?

No, but it would help. Just kidding, you don’t need any specialist skills, just a thirst for adventure and common-sense

Will anyone jump out and scare us?

No, the only people in the room will be the people you bring with you. We can’t help it if you choose to jump out and scare each other.

I told my friends about my booking and they want to come too, can I bring extra people on the day?

You are welcome to bring extra people on the day as long as you don’t exceed the maximum for the room (6 people), you can pay by debit or credit card at the time of your appointment.

Can I come dressed in a costume?

You are welcome to wear whatever you like, we recommend comfortable clothing.

Are Food or drinks allowed?

No Food or drinks are allowed in the room

Behaviour

While you are on our premises, you must follow our rules, adopt proper standards of behaviour and co-operate with our employees.

Narrow Escape Rooms does not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its employees.

People under influence of alcohol or on non-prescribed drugs might be turned away and the session becomes a no-show. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who is unfit, abusive or unsuitable in any way at the sole discretion of the owners and staff of Narrow Escape Rooms.
