After four months of planning, rebuilding and testing, we’re excited to announce that Mission Identity, the fifth escape room at Narrow Escape Rooms, officially opens on Friday 7 August 2026.

If you’ve been waiting for a new challenge, the wait is over.

A Room We Couldn't Resist Bringing to Penrith

Every now and then, an opportunity comes along that’s simply too good to pass up.

I first played Mission Identity with my family in 2024 at Expedition Escape Rooms in Gladesville. We all agreed it was a fantastic room. It was fun, packed with puzzles and, as an escape room enthusiast, I even gave it a ❤️ review on the Morty app.

When I later heard owner Damian was planning to close the business, I immediately thought of Mission Identity. Before making any decisions, I sent Craig and Kit to experience the room for themselves. They came back just as enthusiastic, agreeing it would be the perfect addition to our escape room offering in Penrith.

Not only did we love the gameplay, but it was also the perfect fit for the remaining space in our second suite.

When the opportunity arose to purchase the room, it felt like everything had fallen into place.

Rather than letting a great escape room disappear, we’re excited to give Mission Identity a new home at Narrow Escape Rooms, where even more players can experience it.

“As soon as Craig, Kit and I had all played Mission Identity, we agreed it would be the perfect addition to our escape room offering. It’s a genuinely fun room, packed with puzzles, and we’re excited to give it a new home in Penrith.”

Giving Mission Identity the Narrow Escape Rooms Touch

Although the foundation of Mission Identity remains the same, we’ve spent the last four months giving it the Narrow Escape Rooms treatment.

We’ve refreshed around 25% of the experience, introducing a stronger storyline, a new beginning and ending – some “wow” moments to make the adventure feel even more immersive.

If you’ve already played Mission Identity in Canberra or Gladesville, the changes probably aren’t significant enough to justify playing it again unless you’re curious to see what’s new. However, we believe most people in Penrith and Western Sydney, including many escape room enthusiasts, will be experiencing Mission Identity for the very first time.

Packed with Puzzles

If you enjoy solving puzzles, Mission Identity won’t disappoint.

Like our award-winning room The Inheritance, Mission Identity is a multi-linear escape room, allowing your team to split up and tackle different puzzles simultaneously. Instead of everyone crowding around a single puzzle, your team can split up and tackle multiple challenges at the same time. This makes it an excellent choice for larger groups, giving everyone something meaningful to contribute throughout the game.

It’s also our only single-room escape room.

That doesn’t mean fewer puzzles.

Quite the opposite.

Because everything takes place in one space, you can clearly see your progress as the mission unfolds. The room is packed with puzzles, hidden discoveries and a few surprises along the way that we won’t spoil here.

Perfect for Families, Friends and Team Building

Mission Identity is designed for 2 to 8 players.

While couples and smaller teams can certainly enjoy the challenge, our testing has shown that larger groups often have the best chance of completing the mission.

Like all our escape rooms, the puzzles are designed to challenge adults, but Mission Identity is also suitable for families with children aged 8 years and over when accompanied by an adult.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, organising a team-building activity or simply looking for one of the best escape rooms in Western Sydney, Mission Identity offers a fast-paced adventure that keeps everyone involved.

A Milestone for Narrow Escape Rooms

Opening Mission Identity is more than just launching another game.

It completes our second suite, giving Narrow Escape Rooms a total of five unique escape room experiences.

For now, our focus shifts from building new rooms to refining the experiences we already have, continuing to create memorable adventures for the thousands of players who visit us each year.

As much as we’d love to start designing another room tomorrow, we’ll be taking a well-earned break from construction while we build towards whatever comes next.
